The Falklands may seem a tiny dot on the world map but actually boasts a total land area of around 12,000 square km (4,700 miles) equivalent to about half of Wales or the state of Connecticut in the USA. There are around 600 miles of roads with those in Stanley and to Mount Pleasant Airport/Military base being the only surfaced ones.

To make the most of your stay in the Falklands and to appreciate the wide open spaces book your vehicle early to avoid disappointment.

The vehicle can be used for personal or routine business purposes, to be driven only on roads (including unsurfaced roads) and parking areas on East Falkland. The vehicle must not be driven off-road/cross-country or taken to West Falklands.
